Are you creative, enthusiastic and confident? Do you have a passion for libraries? Then help us shape the future of Cambridgeshire Libraries and become a Library Development Officer.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Library Development Team managed by the Community Participation Manager. You will recognise that library services are a blend of physical, digital and outreach and you will be key to delivering this mix of service provision as part of a sector leading Library Service.

This post requires a dynamic and versatile individual with experience of partnership working. You will need a flair for identifying new promotional opportunities, enabling the service to reach new users and priority groups.

The successful candidate will lead on one of the four Libraries Connected Universal Library Offers. You will need to be proactive in identifying potential new audiences and self-assured in coordinating relevant projects. This post holder will have special responsibility for Learning and Information. You will be responsible for maintaining your expertise on new developments, professional skills and identifying opportunities for service development as part of a county-wide team.

We are currently increasing the capacity of our existing Library Development Team, reflecting our strongly held belief that driving up participation in library and cultural services is central to service provision and the quality of life for people in Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting new era for the Library Service under the leadership of our new Head of Libraries, Archives and Culture.
