On Saturday 5th May, an incredible outdoor art exhibition will open at Lion Yard Shopping Centre celebrating the talent of local artists.
Held on Petty Cury by the entrance to the shopping centre, visitors will be able to view a selection of artwork based on Cambridge from local artists in the county and then vote for their favourite piece. The artist who has created the winning piece will receive the amazing opportunity to sell their work free of charge to the shoppers of Lion Yard for a whole month.
Centre Manager of Lion Yard, Amy Rhys-Davies, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting this very special exhibition that promotes the talent of local artists. All of the pieces on display will be the artists own reflections of Cambridgeshire so it
is a great way of celebrating our beautiful county. I look forward to opening the exhibition and wish all of the artists the best of luck.”
The exhibition will be available to view every Saturday throughout the month of May and visitors may cast their votes from the 5th to 27th May via a form available at the information point which will be situated on Petty Cury or via the Cambridge Edition website at www.cambsedition.co.uk
